How do you move people in the right direction when you are working on mobility issues? That is what we are doing within the theme of behavioral change. By encouraging people in different ways, we want to ensure that people travel by car less often and choose shared-mobility or active mobilities more often.
Infrastructure, innovative technology, and a communication campaign are a good start if you want to change something in the field of mobility. But it’s not enough. Not if you really want to cause structural behavioral change.
We develop behavioral strategies that ensure that people change their travel behavior. We do this by designing concepts that match the needs of the target group. In addition, we “nudge” users: ensuring that they are triggered in a subtle way to adjust their travel or driving behavior.
To stimulate behavioral change, we can, for example, place mobility hubs in strategic loocations or other forms of shared mobility.
