The SNA (Stichting Normering Arbeid) quality mark indicates that a staffing agency or contractor meets various legal requirements, such as:
- Correct payment of wages: Ensuring that employees receive the wages they are legally entitled to.
- Payment of taxes and social security contributions: Ensuring that the necessary taxes and social security contributions are paid.
- Identity verification: Ensuring that employees have valid identification and are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.
- Proper financial administration: Maintaining accurate financial records and administration.
Companies with the SNA quality mark are listed in a public register, allowing businesses and individuals to verify that they are partnering with reliable entities in the staffing industry.
More About the SNA Quality Mark
The SNA quality mark was created out of the need for self-regulation within the staffing sector. The Dutch House of Representatives supported this initiative and, in June 2005, requested the government, partly based on the Bruls motion, to encourage a good and transparent system of self-regulation in the staffing sector instead of introducing new licensing requirements. In collaboration with the Ministries of Social Affairs and Employment and Finance, the initiators then worked on establishing the standards for the SNA quality mark.
The Stichting Normering Arbeid collaborates with various umbrella and industry organizations, giving the quality mark broad national support. The SNA quality mark helps clients and hirers limit the risks related to hirer’s and chain liability. By engaging a staffing company with the SNA quality mark, fiscal indemnity can be obtained under certain conditions.
